Katyusha rockets rained down on the town of Bet-Shean, one hitting a school. This woman whom I met minutes afterwards, was told that her daughter was killed. And so I captioned the photo for over 20 years.

In the course of making a documentary film last year, I found the woman and her son. It turns out, that when this woman reached the morgue, she found it was not her daughter! Her daughter HAD BEEN under the wreckage of the school building, but “only” lost a foot. She is now a mother of four children herself, and we interviewed and filmed her for the documentary.
