VISIONS: Scott Thode

I first met Venus in 1986. She was an IV drug user, HIV positive and living on the streets of Manhattan. I photographed her over a ten year period until her death in 1997. This was a moment that I feel really captured her spirit and love for life. She was one of the best friends I ever had and I miss her.
