Ryan White and his mother, Jeanne, in the kitchen of their Cicero, Indiana home, February of 1990. Ryan, who would die two months later, had just returned from a ride in the new Mustang that Michael Jackson had given him. Jeanne asked him how cold it was outside. Instead of answering, Ryan gently touched her cheek with his icy fingers.
