Roman Polanski, Seychelles Islands, 1976 - Polanski was the guest editor of the Christmas edition of French Vogue and asked me to do the photography. The theme was pirates. While the stylists were readying the shoot, he and I walked up the beach, and I had the idea of burying him in the sand. We dug a hole and he got in. He was fine until a big wave surprised us. I knew I could get him out and he would be all right, but I pretended that I was going top get help. He was apprehensive and told me to get him out.
