Fred Astaire and his wife, Robyn Smith, Los Angeles, California, 1981 - Astaire was a gracious host, a gentleman in every sense of the word. He told me he learned his sense of style from watching the Duke of Windsor. I asked the eighty-one year old star to dance for me, but he hesitated when his wife said no. The she said yes and he said no. Crossing his feet was the closest I got to the dancing, elegant Astaire.
