Koliwada, the original fishermen's community around which Dharavi has grown in the last hundred years, is a prosperous district with many jeweler's workshops and Dharavi Main Road, the main shopping district for the slum. Here a jeweller is making gold chains - demanding work which strains the eyes and nerves.
