Illegal
immigration from the countryside into Ho Chi Minh City and the prospect
of an easier life in the city have led to housing problems. Many,
often large, families live in single rooms and sleep or rest in
shifts. There are also those who just take it easy and wait for
casual jobs. The photographer caught a young man lounging on a bedstead
watching day-time television, while another young man sleeps on
the ground. In the background a young girl prepares a meal.
