Dead Iraqi soldiers before burial by a US Graves Detail, killed on
or near the Mile of Death, on the northern outskirts of Kuwait City.
On this stretch of highway, many of the Iraqi soldiers and their
families were killed as Allied aircraft strafed and bombed a convoy
attempting to retreat in haste back to Baghdad from Kuwait City.
