Streaks of light from trucks pass by as CPT Marcus Ritter of Nangatuck, CT, uses the Humvees radio to coordinate ground assault convoy maneuvers for the 101st Airbborne Aviation Brigade late 24 March 2003 in the southern Iraqi desert. Over 1,000 vehicles from the 101st Airborne massed on the Iraqi border in northern Kuwait 21 March and began making their way northeast towards their forward operating base.
