Iraqi Shiite women spray water where hundreds of Shiite Muslims gathered in Karbala 22 April 2003 to mark the death of Imam Hussein, grandson of Prophet Mohammed, who was beheaded in the holy city of Karbala, central Iraq, in 680 A.D. This is the first time in years that Shiites are free to express their devotion to Imam Hussein without the Sunni-dominated regime of Saddam Hussein's watchful eye on them.
