The Pierre Governors and their fans participate in a candlelight vigil following their homecoming football game September 14, 2001. The vigil honored victims of the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorism attacks which had occurred just three days earlier. The Governors lost to the Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriots 14 to 21.
