Saint Elizabeth's Mission soaks up a fiery prairie sunset on the banks of Oak Creek near Wakpala. Chief Gall, a leader during the Battle of Little Bighorn, donated land for the church and is buried in St. Elizabeth's cemetery. Masses today are celebrated in both English and Lakota.
