Fango: Fango mud is full of minerals and nutrients that improve the skin, draw out impurities and awaken the senses. Before being used for therapeutic purposes, the fango undergoes a slow maturation process in tubs and then is further processed with sunlight and air that permits its enrichment with mineral salts and a special algae that grows at its surface. The heat of the fango leads to perspiration and causes an increase in the bloods circulation. This makes an exchange of nutritive substances brought by the blood to the cells and can accelerate the elimination of toxic substances produced by diseased tissues. This stimulates the nerve endings that secrete gland and hormone activity which is effective in stopping the inflammatory component of diseases.
