"Look was the first major magazine to do an in depth essay on Haiti in 1962. Title of the story, "Haiti, a sad, sad neighbor." This picture of the evil PapaDoc was made at rare public event. It was made under dangerous conditions, I was surrounded by military, and secret police. It got world wide syndication. The day after I shot him the writer and I were ordered out of Haiti in 48 hours by the Hatian Gov't. Of course we obliged."
