""Children in Search of Sanity" was the most rewarding and difficult assignment I ever had. It was done at a hospital in Rhode Island that was doing pioneering research on emotionally disturbed children. The project was making break through discoveries. Dealing with the children's eratic and unpredictable behavior was draining, truly heartbreaking to observe and photograph. The story ran for ten pages and attracted national attention from the medical community."
