View of the security fence from the town hall of JAYYUS (bottom half of picture is West Bank territory). This line of separation is located 6 km to the east of the "green line", that is, 6 km inside Palestinian territory. The "green line" is the line of demarcation between Israeli and Palestinian territories drawn up after the defeat of Arab forces in the 1967 war. The farmers of Jayyus are cut off from 2/3s of their farmland and water sources that supply the village with fresh water. Over 15,000 olive trees, 50,000 fruit trees, 120 green houses, as well as fertile grazing pastures have been illegally confiscated.
