This photo was made possible by a freebie given to the media for the Rugby World Cup 2003: a shortwave radio which allowed journalists to listen simultaneously to match commentary and the referee. It was raining hard and my eyepiece was misty. So when the commentators in my earpiece screamed, "Wilkinson is in the pocket!" I had a split second to focus on him just as he kicked the ball.
