Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) leads her daughter, Bailey, by the hand back to a line of fellow senators on the steps of the U.S. Capitol during a ceremony to remember the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Hutchison always has one of her two children with her during the week while in Washington, D.C.; the family reunites each weekend in Texas. Her husband, Ray Hutchison, cares for their other child in Texas. Hutchison is one of the four women senators that have young children. (September 2002)
