FADEK: Christo and Jeanne-Claude can be quite elusive for the still photographer. They are very protective of how the media portrays them. I spent several days trying to photograph the artists with their work. After a few thwarted attempts on their part I was able to capture this moment.

"The Gates" project by artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude opened in Central Park on Saturday, February 12, 2005. The long awaited work consisted of over 7,500 gates that snaked through 23 miles of the parks walkways. In all, the installation was on view for 16 days, till February 27, 2005.
