THE NEW REALITY For 21 years now I've lived in New Orleans, a place of beguiling charm. Sure, she's had her troubles, but she's always had a secret way of stealing you heart. Her images are vivid - beautiful oaks, stately mansions, and quaint streetcars. But now, who can forget scenes of dead bodies lying in the medians of grand boulevards. That reality is another trauma we New Orleanians will now live with.
