BAGHDAD, APRIL 26, 2003 - An Iraqi police officer stands in the looted armory of his police station in the Adhamiya neighborhood shortly after Baghdad fell to American Marines. He was wounded in the chaos at war's end, and American soldiers confiscated his weapon, but he returned to keep watch on what was left of his station.
