Saudi Arabia. Jeddah. 2003: In the old city of Jeddah, the Saudi kingdom's economical capital, many of the immigrant workers, like these resting Yemenite manual laborers, live in the old part of the city's dilapidated houses, in very poor living conditions. The vast kingdom in the Arab peninsula receives 6 million foreign workers: Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Filipino, Yemeni, Chinese, etc. They represent more than 90 percent of the manual labor in the private sector.
