Latafiya, Iraq, May 19, 2007 [Alpha Co. 2-15, Task Force 2-15, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division] – Sgt. Joshua Delgado, a medic, yells to SSG. Robert Simonovich, wounded in the face by shrapnel, as a chopper awaits to medevac him. Simonovich was temporarily blinded and suffered extensive hearing damage in a blast that also killed a comrade and wounded three others soldiers. On patrol for three missing U.S. soldiers, the troops fell victim to a land mine or IED.
