PLAIDED PETER – Back in the early 1990s, Peter Doty originated the idea of theme camps at "Burning Man" by dressing as Santa Claus and calling his "Christmas Camp." They played carols 24 hours a day and served eggnog and fruitcake to visitors. Pictured here at "Hearth Camp" in 2000, Doty was clad more like a Highlander and subjected to rave music 24 hours a day from the neighboring camp, "Aquarium."
