Bagram, Afghanistan -- Moments before his execution, a Taliban soldier looks in fear at the Northern Alliance soldiers who discovered him on the side of a dirt road. He had been shot in the leg during the fight for the capitol, remaining still after his injury in hope of being overlooked amidst the confusion of the advancing soldiers. After being rousted to his feet, a growing and excitable group of Northern Alliance soldiers harassed their new prisoner, yelling and dragging him along the dirt road back in the direction of a trench where their commander was continuing the fight. His captors then simultaneously raised their Kalashnikov rifles and fired numerous rounds into his chest and head, then continued on their way among the dust which still hovered from their gunfire.
