In 1975, we moved to Washington, DC. When I turned six years old, my dad took me out to the local drug store and bought me my first camera. It was a Kodak 110 fixed focus camera.

With this new toy, I made my first attempts to preserve what I saw and experienced. By creating these frozen moments reproduced on photo paper, I'd found an activity that would become my great love.
