| The Mayor's Cup Schooner Race 1998. This is an annual event in Gloucester and was special this year because it was the city's 375th anniversary. It was very foggy and difficult to shoot or concentrate on what was going on from the press boat. Suddenly, as if in a dream, the fog lifted momentarily, the sun came through exposing the configuration of vessels, and a woman stepped out onto the bow of the Ernestina, creating a sense of scale I could never have imagined. |
