A police officer is struck in the face by a protester at 18th Street alongside the Vine St. Expressway. The officer was pulled from his car after driving down 18th Street striking protesters with his club, before being beaten by protesters, which forced him to pull his gun. This incident sparked a rash of wild melees in Center City Philadelphia. |
