Studio 54, New York City, 1978 - There was the strangest mix of celebrities, beautiful people and low lifes at Studio 54. The celebrities entered either a private door or they marched right up as the velvet ropes were parted for their grand entrance. Behind a curtain in the back, sat Halston with Lorna Luft, Steve Rubel, Victor Hugo and Pat Ast. Halston told me he went there almost every night for the best show in town.
