In 2004 the first American servicemen since the end of the war landed by ship in Da Nang. The first American troops sent to Vietnam landed in Da Nang 40 years earlier. The circle was complete. The men rushed to the nearest bar where young girls entertained the men just as their mothers and grandmothers did before them.
