"No Place for Children: Voices From Juvenile Detention"
KRIS
Even after more than a dozen trips to Juvenile, it doesn't get any easier for Kris, 14. He doesn't know exactly what he did to end up here this time, but Kris knows it probably involved his drug-addicted alter ego. "You went wild," says his dad, who once again is at Kris's side when he comes to. And once again, Kris says he wants to beat drugs, but he needs more help than that which his dad can provide. He needs rehab, but that's not what he's getting. Instead, Kris, looking out the window of an isolation cell, is getting a tour of the juvenile system at its worst - countless canceled court dates, no-show lawyers, judges who won't order rehab.
