DOME SURVEY Seeing the damaged roof of the Superdome for the first time had a powerful effect on most of us. I remember getting out into the storm and driving down I-10 toward the French Quarter. I spotted the dome roof faintly through the driving rain and was shocked. I stopped my truck and made a quick frame. The picture was far too hazy to publish but my editors needed to see it. They needed to know what was happening out here.
