CHERNOBYL, UKRAINE, 2005 : Graveyards of radioactive equipment once used by an army of hundreds of thousands of liquidators still litter the landscape of the evacuation zone. These highly contaminated helicopters, trucks, tanks and bulldozers have been there for 20 years. Some are now being cut up, "decontaminated" with high-pressure water and sand-blasting, and sold as scrap metal.
