MORATORIUM DAY, Washington, D.C., Nov. 1969: This is perhaps my favorite photograph of my entire collection of historical events. It has an apocalyptic quality, aided by a stormy sky, red filter, and unusual vantage point. Our intention was to shut down the Pentagon, but instead we got tear-gassed and bloodied. So much for civil disobedience!
