Latafiya, Iraq, May 19, 2007 [Alpha Co. 2-15, Task Force 2-15, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division] – Medic Sgt. Joshua Delgado of Lompoc, Calif., bandages the face of a wounded comrade who was hit by shrapnel following a land mine or IED explosion while on patrol. The injured soldier was conscious and talking and is expected to survive. His 22-year-old sergeant was less fortunate; he died instantly in the blast.
