U.S. artillery and rocket
fire from the First Armored Division is launched over the heads of advancing
troops to clear a path through Iraqi defenses during the first night of
the ground war against Iraq. Coalition forces advanced so rapidly that
the main problem slowing them down was the refueling of tanks and trucks.
