University of Maryland Hospital Shock Trauma Unit, Baltimore, 1980 - I wanted to show the tension of a hospital shock-trauma unit and one weekend followed victims from accident to helicopter to emergency and operating rooms where doctors worked with urgency and precision to save lives. What surprised me was the amount of blood that spills on the floor during an operation.
