Shooting Gallery, New York City, 1980 - On a story for Life about teenage drug abuse, I was in a "shooting gallery," an abandoned building where addicts go to shoot up heroin. When police unexpectedly raided the place with guns drawn, they were as surprised to see me as I was to see them.
