King Juan Carlos of Spain, Zarzuela Palace, near Madrid, 1985 - As I was leaving the palace, I saw the king lift his retriever pups, Ajax and Atlas, by the scruff of their necks and return them to their pen. I thought about what a good picture I had missed. Ambling over to say goodbye, I casually reopened the gate. When the dogs ran out, the king looked at me like I was daft and had to retrieve them once again.
