John Wayne Bobbit, Las Vegas, 1994 - Bobbit became a kind of folk legend in 1993 when his wife Lorena sliced off the end of his penis. Looking for a cowboy hat in a casino shop, I had an idea for his picture and it worked. I wanted to take the photo on the Vegas strip, but because we might have been arrested, we drove to the desert. He took off one piece of clothing, then another, until he was wearing only his boots and the hat.
