The Opera House is reflected in the window of Our Olde House Antiques (428-4005) in downtown Dell Rapids. After an 1888 fire devastated much of the town's business district, local officials mandated that new buildings needed to be fireproof, thus new structures were built from the rose quartzite that makes Dell Rapids famous.
