GONE, BUT NOT SOON ENOUGH Larry Leonard inspects his mother's home in Belle Chase after a tree crashed through it, crushing most of the house and knocking the rest off its foundation. His mother had told the kids for years that she was afraid of the towering tree, and that she wanted it gone. It's gone now, and the kids will probably never hear the end of it.
