FRONTIER TOWN Much of the city is now drained of water, leaving streets like Dumaine at N. Roman looking like a dirt road. New Orleans is now a frontier town. People who come here come to seek their fortune rebuilding the city. New Orleans is not child friendly, nor is it kind to the elderly. People have to be hearty and strong.
