Nixon in China

In February, 1972, I was selected as one of six American photographers to accompany the newly re-elected president to the People's Republic of China. In my mind, there will never be a more significant presidential trip. With this one journey, Richard Nixon forever changed the balance of world power. Perhaps only Nixon, with his well-documented anti- Communist credentials, could have pulled off such a bold diplomatic move.
