Ismail Amin Shkarat with his family on the roof of his home in the neighborhood of Sawahreh, a quarter of Abu Dis, East Jerusalem. The wall will come over the side of the hill in the background and pass straight through where Ismail's house is standing. It will cut this community in two, separating families and friends. Twenty homes are planned for demolition and 2500 olive trees will be up-rooted. Ismail has papers showing that this land is in his family's possession for over 150 years. Sohaila, Ismail's wife, says that it would be the end of the world for her family if they lose their house.
