SHAW: When Boston Red Sox's star pitcher Curt Schilling held up a bottle of champagne and shouted at teammates to gather round, I knelt down on my knees and soon found myself surrounded by a group of ballplayers that had just ended Boston's 86-year "curse of the Bambino." As Schilling toasted their hard work and determination thoughout the year, I kept looking up, thinking it was hard to believe I was part (or at least in the middle) of such a special moment - it was great.
