Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) listens to testimony concerning the future of Iraq during a Committee on Foreign Relations hearing in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill. Boxer became a United States senator in January 1993, and served in the House of Representatives for 10 years before entering the Senate. Some of Boxer's primary issues are education, environmental protection, abortion rights, and human rights. (February 2003)
