Realudio: Ed goes to Russia.

In 1955, Ed Clark was allowed to visit the Soviet Union - the first Western photographer allowed behind the Iron Curtain in 30 years.

When he was trying to photograph a military parade, Ed was denied permission. He stormed back to his hotel room - which just happened to have a perfect view over Red Square and the parade.

After 2 months and countless rolls of film, Ed's work resulted in 32 pages of pictures over several issues in Life.
