MURAD NOFAL, son of Saleh
Nofal, brings the family's goats down from the village of JAYYUS
toward the security gate. The farmers are hoping this morning that
they will be able to pass the gate and reach their lands on the other
side. Their farm lands and grazing pastures are some of the most
fertile lands in the West Bank. Murad has not been able to put his
goats out to graze for the last twelve days. He is feeding them the
residue from pressed olives which according to the veterinarian can
cause miscarriages. He is worried about how to provide for his family
if this "closure" by the Israeli soldiers continues. He
asks if it is not terrorism when someone willfully takes away a man's
means of providing for his family.
