The chicken farm of Jalal Zeid is located just outside of the security fence and wall that surrounds the small town of Qalqilya. During the Jewish festival of Sukhot (one week) the closure of Qalqilya was total. The farm workers were unable to reach their lands and their livestock. 7000 chickens died of thirst. This is the second time that such an incident has occured.
